Digital Hauntological Commentary was a project that explored the commerciality of internet culture and how it is evolving into a nostalgia archive. The further you delve into these archives you see how difficult it is for people to leave them, trapping them in a cycle of consuming the same content repeatedly reflecting a culture that doesn’t move anywhere. I looked at YouTube as a prime example of personifying this archive, its familiarity allowing people to enter the past without any forms of hesitation and allowing the past to curated for them.
